1. E.T. wandered away from his family's spacecraft at the first sight of city lights to follow his dreams of making it big in the city.

2. He had plans of turning Elliot's shed into a galactic AirBnb before he was discovered and original plan foiled.

3. When Elliot's bike started to fly, E.T. reportedly put on aviators, strapped himself in the basket and started singing "Ride into the Danger Zoneeee" 3 years before it would air on radio. He would later be an inspiration for the blockbuster hit Top Gun.

4. Before he was dressed up as a ghost on Halloween, E.T. insisted on being John Travolta's character Danny Zuko from the 1978 film Grease.

5. Once his family came back to pick him up, he was grounded for 3 weeks.
